Sylvie Dufour
During her doctoral thesis at the University of Mons (Belgium) in the field of plastic recycling, Sylvie Dufour founded her company Pelote de Maille in January 2024. She offers unique handmade crochet creations. However, what sets her apart from other crocheters is that she provides an electronic certificate of authenticity to accompany each of her creations, in the form of a Non-Fungible Token (NFT).
Sylvie Dufour has succeeded in combining high technology and the traditional art of crochet by offering all her clients an ultra-simple method of acquiring an NFT, without having to provide personal or banking information.
In the United States, Sylvie is already making a name for herself after just a few months:
Martin Casu
Martin is the IT and logistics manager of Pelote de Maille. He primarily dedicates himself to creating certificates for each creation in the form of NFTs. He creates the NFTs from Sylvie's physical creations. Thanks to him, Sylvie's creations are tamper-proof and permanently recorded on the Cardano blockchain.
